Legal Kahome Inc

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Kahome Inc ("Kahome", "K&A", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers our website at thekahome.com, people who contact us, job applicants, and the customers who use our services.

We have tried to keep it short and plain. If anything is unclear, please contact us.

The short version

  • Our website is a simple informational site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, has no advertising or tracking pixels, and has no forms or user accounts.
  • The only thing the site saves in your browser is your language preference.
  • Our website host and our web font provider receive your IP address when a page loads, as explained below.
  • If you email or call us, we keep that correspondence so we can respond and keep a record.
  • If you are a customer, we handle the business information needed to deliver the services you ordered.
  • We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Who we are and what this policy covers

Kahome Inc is a technology services company based in Irvine, California, operating under the K&A brand. We provide AI, cloud and SaaS account operations; AI model and API access services for developers and teams; and enterprise AI implementation, such as agents, workflow automation and custom development.

Kahome is the business responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Our contact details are in the Contact us section.

Our services are delivered under separate written agreements, orders or statements of work with each customer. If one of those documents says something different from this policy about how we handle information for that customer, that document takes priority for that customer's services.

This policy does not cover the websites or customers of other brands that Kahome Inc owns or operates. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Information we collect and how we collect it

What we collect depends on how you deal with us.

When you visit our website

Our website is a static informational site. You can read it without telling us anything about yourself. It has no forms, no sign-ups and no user accounts.

  • Hosting logs. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub may log technical details of each request, such as your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, and browser and device details. GitHub collects and holds these logs under its own privacy statement. We do not use them to identify you.
  • Web fonts. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser asks Google's servers for the font files, so Google receives your IP address and basic request details. Google handles that information under its own privacy policy.
  • Language preference. The site saves your language preference in your browser's local storage under the key "ka-lang". This is the only item the site stores on your device. It stays in your browser, is not sent to us, and contains nothing that identifies you. You can remove it at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings.

The site does not set cookies. It does not run analytics, and it has no advertising or tracking pixels.

When you contact us

People reach us by email or phone. When you do, we receive whatever you choose to give us, such as your name, email address, phone number, company, job title, and the content of your message or call.

We keep this correspondence, and we may keep notes of phone conversations.

Please do not include sensitive information, such as passwords, full payment card numbers or government ID numbers, in general inquiries.

When you apply for a job

We advertise open roles on third-party job platforms, such as LinkedIn, and applicants apply through those platforms. Each platform's own terms and privacy policy govern what happens there. We receive the application information the platform passes to us, such as your name, contact details, resume and answers to screening questions.

If you send a resume or other application information to us directly, we receive whatever you include, such as your work history, education and skills.

We use application information only for recruiting and hiring.

When you are a customer

We provide our services to businesses, developers and teams. To deliver the contracted services we process:

  • Business contact details. Names, job titles, email addresses, phone numbers and postal addresses of the people we deal with at the customer.
  • Account and order information. The services ordered, the accounts, subscriptions and access we set up or manage for the customer, renewal dates, and related status and usage records.
  • Billing records. Invoices, amounts, payment status, billing contacts and billing addresses. Payments for our services are processed by third-party payment processors or by bank transfer. Those providers handle your payment details under their own terms and privacy policies.
  • Support communications. Requests, troubleshooting details and our replies.

We get most of this directly from the customer. Sometimes a colleague gives us your details, for example by naming you as a billing or technical contact.

Information we handle on a customer's behalf

Some projects involve working inside a customer's own systems, accounts or data, for example when we build an AI agent or automate a workflow. If that data includes personal information, we handle it on the customer's behalf, on the customer's instructions, and under our agreement with that customer.

The customer decides how that information is used, and the customer's own privacy policy applies to it. If you have a question or request about that information, please contact the customer directly. If you contact us instead, we will refer your request to the customer.

Where we provide access to AI models, cloud or software services through accounts and keys held by Kahome Inc, requests made with that access pass to the third-party provider through our account, and we keep the usage records needed to manage and bill the service. The provider handles that data under its own terms and privacy policy.

How we use information

We use personal information for these purposes:

  • To reply to inquiries and keep a record of our correspondence.
  • To set up, deliver, monitor and support the services a customer has ordered, including account setup and provisioning, subscription and renewal management, access and usage management, and record keeping.
  • To bill for our services, collect payment and keep financial records.
  • To assess job applications, communicate with applicants and make hiring decisions.
  • To keep in touch with business contacts about our services. You can ask us to stop at any time.
  • To protect our business, our customers and our systems, including preventing fraud and misuse of services.
  • To comply with laws, tax and accounting rules and lawful requests, and to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not use personal information to build advertising profiles. Our website does not track you over time or across other sites.

Some privacy laws, including those of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, require us to have a legal basis for using personal information. Where those laws apply, we rely on the following:

  • Contract. We need the information to enter into or carry out an agreement with you or the organization you work for, such as delivering ordered services and billing for them.
  • Legitimate interests. We have a genuine business reason that is not outweighed by your rights, such as answering inquiries, keeping business records, recruiting, keeping in touch with business contacts, and keeping our services secure.
  • Legal obligation. We need to keep or disclose information to comply with the law, such as tax and accounting rules.
  • Consent. In the rare cases where we ask for your consent, you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done either in the past 12 months.

We disclose personal information only in these situations:

  • Service providers. Companies that help us run our business, such as website hosting, email and communications, business software, accounting and payment processing. We share only what they need to provide their services to us.
  • Providers involved in your services. When a customer orders a service that involves a third-party AI, cloud or software provider, we give that provider the information it requires to set up, maintain or bill the relevant account or access. Those providers handle the information under their own terms and privacy policies.
  • Professional advisers. Lawyers, accountants, insurers and similar advisers, where needed for their work for us.
  • Legal compliance and protection. When we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, a court order or a lawful government request, or is needed to enforce our agreements or protect the rights, property or safety of Kahome, our customers or others.
  • Business transfers. If Kahome is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of its business or assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. This policy will continue to apply to the transferred information unless you are told otherwise.
  • At your direction. When you ask us to share information, or agree that we may.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as long as the law requires. In deciding how long, we consider why we collected the information, how sensitive it is, whether a legal or tax rule sets a minimum period, and whether there is an open dispute.

  • Correspondence. For as long as needed to handle your inquiry, and for a reasonable period afterward as a business record.
  • Customer, order and support records. For the length of the customer relationship, and afterward for as long as needed for our records, to handle disputes and to meet legal requirements.
  • Billing and financial records. For as long as tax, accounting and other laws require.
  • Job applications. For the length of the hiring process and a reasonable period afterward. If you are hired, your application becomes part of your employment record.
  • Language preference. It stays in your browser until you clear it. We never hold a copy.

When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove the details that identify you. You can also ask us to delete your information sooner, as described in the rights sections below.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorized access. These measures take into account the kind of information involved and the size of our business, and include limiting access to the people who need it for their work.

No website, email system or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you think your dealings with us have been compromised, please contact us right away.

If a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities where the law requires it.

California privacy rights

This section applies to California residents. It describes rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"). We honor the requests described here from California residents.

Information we have collected in the past 12 months

The details are in the sections above. Using the CCPA's category names, we have collected:

  • Identifiers. Name, email address, phone number and postal address, from people who contact us, job applicants and customer contacts.
  • Customer records information. Name, address, phone number and billing details, from customers.
  • Commercial information. Records of services ordered and billing history, from customers.
  • Professional, employment and education information. Employer and job title for business contacts, and resume details from job applicants.
  • Internet or network activity information. We do not collect this ourselves. Our website host and font provider receive IP addresses and request details, as described under Information we collect.
  • Sensitive personal information. We do not ask for it through our website. If a project requires us to handle log-in credentials or access keys for a customer's own systems, we use them only to deliver that service. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose beyond those the CCPA permits without a right to limit.

The sources of this information, the purposes we use it for, the categories of recipients we disclose it to, and how long we keep it are described in the sections above.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

Your rights

  • Right to know. You can ask what personal information we have collected about you, including the categories, the sources, the purposes, the categories of recipients, and the specific pieces of information.
  • Right to delete. You can ask us to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to exceptions in the law, such as records we must keep for tax or legal reasons.
  • Right to correct. You can ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We use sensitive personal information only for purposes the CCPA permits, so there is nothing further to limit.
  • Right to non-discrimination. You can use these rights without being treated worse for doing so.

How to exercise your rights

Send your request by email to damon@thekahome.com, by phone at (949) 300-3161, or by mail to Kahome Inc, 400 Spectrum Center Dr, Ste 1900, Irvine, CA 92618, USA. Tell us which right you want to use and give us enough detail to find your information.

We need to confirm your identity before we act on a request. We usually do this by matching details you give us with information we already hold, for example by replying to the email address we have on file. We use verification details only for that purpose.

You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you. We will ask the agent for your signed written permission, and we may ask you to confirm the request with us directly.

We will confirm that we received your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time, up to a further 45 days, we will tell you why. You can make a request to know up to twice in any 12-month period. We do not charge a fee unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive.

No discrimination

We will not discriminate or retaliate against you for using any of these rights. We will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or give you a different level or quality of service because you made a request. We will not retaliate against a job applicant for making a request.

Other California disclosures

Our website does not track visitors over time or across other sites, and we do not sell or share personal information. For that reason the site does not change its behavior in response to browser "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals. There is nothing for those signals to switch off.

Other than the hosting and font requests described above, no third party collects information about you through our website.

We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

Visitors outside the United States

Kahome is based in the United States, and we process information in the United States. If you visit our website, contact us or use our services from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Privacy laws in the United States may be different from, and in some cases less protective than, the laws in your country.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, use the details in the Contact us section. We will respond as the law that applies to you requires.

You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.

Children

Our website and services are meant for businesses and working professionals aged 18 or over. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Our website links to sites we do not control, such as our LinkedIn company page and job postings. When you follow a link, or deal with a third-party provider as part of a service, that party's own terms and privacy policy apply.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites or platforms. We encourage you to read their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if our website or services change. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top.

If a change significantly affects how we handle personal information, we will make that clear on this page and, where appropriate, tell affected customers directly.
